Research has shown that people who are more mindful are generally happier and report less anxiety, symptoms of depression, anger, and worries. A higher degree of mindfulness is also associated with reduced stress and increased gratitude, hope, and vitality.
So if practicing mindfulness holds such powerful potential for our well-being, why aren’t we all doing it every day?
Often the reason is that we need more guidance and support than simply downloading a meditation app can deliver.
We need to better understand the underlying processes and research behind mindfulness.
My new program, the SELFCARE Mindfulness Course, is designed to walk you through everything you need to fully understand mindfulness and experience the profound effects it can have on your life.
In this training, you will benefit from:
This program is perfect for you if:
Lessons will rollout and be available weekly. The coaching program also adds live in-person group trainings that will be held weekly over Zoom.
There will be homework and exercises for you to practice each week at home, and there is an optional accountability group where additional inspiration will be shared to keep you motivated and supported throughout the program.
My name is Dale Berkebile, and I’m a mindfulness coach and instructor. My purpose in life is to challenge people to become innovative leaders so that we can change the world together.
I’ve been exploring mindfulness since 2013, following a burnout and downturn in my business, as well as a 2-year struggle with depression from additional personal issues in my life at this time.
In 2013 I started working on creating a self-care routine for myself and meditation was one of the power tools I used. Ever since I learned to develop a consistent mindfulness practice, I’ve found a way to flow more easily with the highs and lows of life.
It was especially noticeable during the pandemic and how I was able to cope with things even during, potentially the most devastating crisis we’ve seen in modern history. That’s when I knew I had to try to help other people. I could see there would be a huge mental health fallout from the pandemic and society just wasn’t offering healthy solutions for this potential trauma.
I have been through several mindfulness trainings myself and attended several mindfulness retreats as well as attend weekly group meditations since late 2019. I’ve also worked under a few expert mindfulness instructors to get trained on how to deliver mindfulness training.
Seeing my own results is why I am so passionate about helping others like you find the same success I have through these practices. I’ve taught in several mindfulness retreats and led mindfulness trainings as well as this course training since early 2020.
This is an 8 week program.
This course is built as an online course and once you purchase the course you will start setting up your user profile info that is collected at time of purchase. The course is best viewed through the Chrome browser on a computer or can be viewed on a smartphone on the go.
The lessons are videos. There are weekly guided meditation exercises that are audio files that you will be able to listen to within your portal. There are also digital downloads (the course workbook and activity journals are PDF files). If you buy the coaching package you will also get training and coaching via Zoom video calls or webinars. You will also have access to the private community that is on Facebook.
This training requires about 15 to 30 minutes a day and is most effective when done at home. Different types of exercises include formal meditation and more informal daily practices.
This honestly depends though, as every person is different. Weekly lessons are between 30 and 60 minutes a week. Exercises are typically 15-30 minutes a day. Extra Resources offer on average of another 30 minutes per week if you decide to watch/read them as well as recommended books. It is hard to estimate any additional work (such as reading the books), or how long informal practices might take, or even how long you may spend documenting your experiences in the activity journals each week.
I’d recommend setting aside 60 minutes for the lessons each week and the 15-30 minutes a day for the 8-weeks of the course (and potentially this is a habit for the rest of your life).
At its core, Mindfulness is about starting over again and again. Even if you feel like you’re not making ‘progress’, if you have patience and try to practice regularly to the best of your ability, your efforts will pay off.
In this program, we’ll approach mindfulness in a way that addresses all of the common stumbling blocks, and you’ll be free to share your specific concerns so we can troubleshoot them together.
